Description
A session for parent carers on staying regulated, not just surviving
If you’re parenting a child with additional needs, chances are you’re not just a parent anymore …you’re an advocate, a translator of jargon, sometimes practically a lawyer trying to hold legislation in your head so your child gets what they’re entitled to. Nobody trains you for that. And somewhere in all the holding it together, it’s easy to lose track of your own nervous system, your own sense of who you are.
This 90-minute session is a space to stop and understand what’s actually happening in your body when you’re running on adrenaline for years, not days, and what to do about it that isn’t a bubble bath you’ll never have time for. We’ll look at what regulation really means, why your child borrows theirs from you, and how to recognise when everyday stress has tipped into something that needs more support.
No jargon, no judgement, no pretending self-care is a candle. Just practical, honest tools for staying steady enough to keep showing up for your child, and for yourself.
